On 23th September 2026, Católica Medical School will host the III Fórum de Medicina e Engenharia Biomédica, under the theme Artificial Intelligence throughout the Patient Journey.

Attendance is free, subject to prior registration.

Organised by the Secção de Medicina e Engenharia Biomédica da Sociedade das Ciências Médicas de Lisboa, the Forum will provide a space for dialogue at the intersection of medicine, engineering and technology, bringing together students, healthcare professionals, engineers, researchers and others interested in the future of healthcare.

Throughout the day, experts from different fields will discuss the role of Artificial Intelligence across the different stages of the patient journey, from prevention and diagnosis to clinical decision support, treatment and follow-up. The programme will include keynote lectures, round-table discussions, oral communications and poster presentations, encouraging knowledge sharing, critical discussion and the dissemination of scientific projects.
