The Universidade Católica Portuguesa has been ranked amongst the institutions with the greatest scientific impact, according to the U.S. News Best Global Universities ranking. As well as leading nationally in the Normalised Citation Impact indicator, it ranks 128th globally.

This result places the Católica amongst the universities whose scientific output achieves high levels of recognition and influence within the international scientific community. One of the areas contributing most to this performance is Clinical Medicine, in which Universidade Católica Portuguesa ranks 55th worldwide in the Normalised Citation Impact criterion, highlighting the international relevance of the research carried out.

Other areas at Católica highlighted by U.S. News’ Best Global Universities include Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Sciences, and Economics and Management.
