Professor Paula Ravasco, faculty member at the Católica Medical School, will participate as a speaker at the 18th International Conference of the Society on Sarcopenia, Cachexia & Wasting Disorders (SCWD), taking place in Rome, Italy, from 11 to 13 December 2025.  

The SCWD Conference is a premier international event that brings together researchers, clinicians, academic experts and industry leaders to explore the latest science and clinical pathways in sarcopenia, cachexia and wasting disorders — including the critical roles of nutrition and metabolism in these conditions.  

Professor Ravasco’s participation underscores her engagement in the field of clinical nutrition and metabolism in the context of cachexia and muscle-wasting disorders, and further highlights the international presence of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in translational medical research.
