Professor Paula Ravasco, faculty member at the Católica Medical School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, participated as an invited speaker at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2025, held in Berlin from 17 to 21 October.
Professor Ravasco took part in the panel “Optimizing Patient Care: Cutting-Edge Nutritional Strategies in Oncology”, dedicated to discussing the latest scientific evidence on the role of nutrition in the treatment and recovery of oncology patients. The panel brought together international experts to debate innovative approaches that integrate clinical nutrition as an essential component of personalized cancer care.
The ESMO Congress 2025 is the largest European event in medical oncology, bringing together thousands of specialists, researchers, and clinicians from around the world to present the latest advances in oncology research and clinical practice.
Professor Paula Ravasco’s participation reinforces the international recognition of the work developed at the Católica Medical School, particularly in the areas of clinical nutrition and oncology metabolism, strengthening the position of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa among Europe’s leading institutions in translational medical research.
