June 14 marked World Blood Donor Day, a date dedicated to recognizing the generosity of all those who contribute to saving lives by donating blood.

In this context, the Dean of Católica Medical School, Professor António Almeida, was interviewed by CNN Portugal, where he highlighted the vital importance of blood donation for the health system and for medical care in emergency situations, surgeries and chronic treatments.

Católica Medical School joins in this celebration, reinforcing the importance of raising awareness among the academic community and society in general about regular, voluntary and unpaid blood donations.
