Last Friday, October 21, an award ceremony was held at the Faculty of Medicine of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), on the Sintra campus.
The Director of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor António Medina de Almeida, presented the Professor Eduardo Coelho Award, given for the excellence of the results obtained in the first year of the degree, to student Carolina Carvalho.
Martim Oliveira and Sofia Bernardes went on stage to receive the Bayer Merit Scholarship from Marco Dietrich, the pharmaceutical company's general manager in Portugal. These scholarships aim to support outstanding students in Medicine and foster the relationship between UCP and the German pharmaceutical company.
Susana Galvão awarded two merit scholarships on behalf of the Santander Foundation. The students awarded were Francisco Afonso for his volunteer work and Laura Portillo for the excellence of the results obtained in mini-interviews.
The Director of the School of Medicine ended the ceremony by thanking all the students for their commitment and dedication to their studies.
