Clinical training (rotations and internship) will be carried out in the healthcare units of Grupo Luz Saúde, and particularly at  Hospital da Luz Lisboa and Hospital da Luz Oeiras. Hospital da Luz Lisboa possesses all the necessary requirements to be a university hospital, in accordance with Decree-Law No. 61/2018, of August 3, including a clinical trial centre and a simulation centre. Students will be integrated into the medical teams of the Grupo Luz Saúde’s health units, which include a rehabilitation hospital and a public-private partnership hospital. All specialities are represented, ensuring exposure to all necessary aspects of Medicine.

In addition to exceptional facilities and equipment, Grupo Luz Saúde possesses an excellent clinical staff who will contribute to ensuring the clinical component of training in the medical degree and who will join the academic faculty of Católica’s Medical School, as well as researchers in the basic medical sciences and in the translational component. All lecturers will receive training in the curriculum and in teaching methodology to ensure the quality and harmonization of teaching with the Problem-based Learning – PBL teaching methodology.
