"This first semester has been an unforgettable chapter in my medical journey as I completed my Erasmus exchange at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Experiencing it firsthand made me truly understand why Erasmus is called life-changing. It was even more special knowing I was the first student from Católica Medical School to participate—an opportunity that filled me with pride and gratitude.
At Parc Taulí Hospital Universitari, I rotated through Pulmonology, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, Hematology, and General Surgery. From my first sutures to assisting in surgeries, writing clinical histories, and working alongside incredible teams, every moment was hands-on, challenging, and rewarding. Navigating Catalan and Spanish on top of Portuguese and English was tough at first, but it sharpened my adaptability and communication skills, giving me new confidence.

Erasmus is more than academics—it’s about the people. I met incredible friends from all over the world, each bringing unique perspectives, traditions, and stories. Together, we embraced new cultures, supported each other through challenges, and made unforgettable memories.
I leave this experience with deep gratitude, lifelong friendships, and an even stronger passion for learning and exploring. A huge thank you to Católica Medical School for this opportunity and to Hospital Parc Taulí for such a welcoming experience!"
