The Universidade Católica Portuguesa is organising the 2nd edition of Sustainability Week, taking place from October 26th to October 30th, 2026. The initiative will once again bring together the academic community across the University's four campi to reflect on today's environmental, social and economic challenges.
Following the success of its first edition, which featured more than 60 activities across the four campi, Sustainability Week returns for a second year, reinforcing the University's commitment to integrating sustainability into everyday academic life.
Sustainability Week aims to strengthen Católica's commitment to sustainability in its environmental, social and economic dimensions, encouraging the academic community to play an active role in building a more conscious and sustainable society.
At Católica Medical School, students are invited to take part in a special initiative by answering a simple question through an online questionnaire: "What does sustainability mean to you in one word?"
The aim is to encourage students to reflect on the meaning of sustainability and share their individual perspectives. At the end of the initiative, all the words collected will be compiled into a visual representation and displayed on the screens throughout Católica Medical School, highlighting the diversity of perspectives within our academic community.
Through this collective activity, Católica Medical School seeks to raise awareness of sustainability and demonstrate how a single word can contribute to a shared vision of a more sustainable future.
