The curriculum of the Integrated Master in Medicine of the Católica Medical School is based on the International Medicine curriculum at Maastricht University, an internationally recognized curriculum with proven results. This curriculum contains integrated modules in which the different subjects are taught in the context of the systems that incorporate them, providing a practical and functional aspect from the beginning. In addition to the curricular organization, the medical curricular unit will implement a variety of teaching methods, using Problem-based Learning” (PBL) as its primary method. PBL is included in student-centred methodologies. This method involves solving realistic problems through individual research and teamwork.
Each curricular unit will have the simultaneous use of diverse teaching methods in every curricular unit, among which are lectures, theoretical-practical, practical and laboratory instruction, field work, seminar, internship, tutorial advising and others.
All teaching staff will have mandatory training in the teaching methodologies used in the Integrated Master in Medicine.
