From 16 to 18 October, the Department of Medical Education received a visit from Professor Sérgio Zanetta, Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine of Centro Universitário São Camilo in Brazil. The implementation of a new medical course has aroused the interest of several medical schools where curriculum review processes are underway. The purpose of this visit was to share the implementation project, particularly the pedagogical dimension, of the Portuguese Catholic University Medical School.

Professor Sérgio Zanneta had the opportunity to visit the School's facilities and attend various teaching-learning activities, including teaching with simulated patients, clinical skills and Problem-Based Learning tutorial groups. In addition, several meetings were held with the coordinators of curricular units, teachers from the Department of Medical Education and the Dean of the Medical School.

In the context of this visit, the possibility of developing various future collaboration projects with the Faculty of Medicine at Centro Universitário São Camilo was discussed, including an internship exchange programme between the two faculties.
