At the end of this Curricular Unit, students should:

  • Understand the principal theories and methods of Continuing Medical Education and Faculty Development, comprehend their
  • implications for the designing, implementing, and assessing interventions in those contexts
  • Demonstrate the ability to design diverse educational programs to accommodate different continuing medical education and faculty
  • development needs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to critically identify and contribute to relevant research questions I the fields of Continuing Medical Education and Faculty Development.

These learning goals are compatible with teaching methods that prioritize students’ active participation, encourage debates, and promote
exploration of diverse perspectives that may underlie continuing medical education and faculty development approaches, considering realworld scenarios and scientific evidence.
