Católica Medical School hosts a seminar on April 13th, at 13 p.m., at Multicare Auditorium, with Joaquim Alves da Silva as keynote speaker, hosted by Ester Coutinho. The main topic of the seminar will be: Bridging fundamental neuroscience and clinical research to understand how dysfunctional circuits lead to movement disorders symptoms. 

Joaquim Alves da Silva is a medical doctor specialized in psychiatry and a neuroscientist. He works in the Champalimaud research program where he leads the Neural Circuits Dysfunction group, which is a research group focused on understanding how brain circuits dysfunction leads to movement disorders symptoms. He is also a professor of Fundamental Neuroscience at Nova Medical School, UNL
