"EMBO Membership is a lifelong honour that allows elected scientists to serve on the organisation’s council and committees, evaluate applications for EMBO funding, and act as mentors to young scientists."
A Raquel Oliveira dedica-se ao estudo de:
"Structure and function of mitotic chromosomes
The Oliveira lab studies how chromosome architecture contributes to faithful chromosome segregation. We aim at understating how mitotic chromosomes are assembled and how their structure influences several processes involving the DNA molecule (e.g. transcription). In parallel, we aim to uncover how failures in these processes impact on mitotic fidelity, cell physiology, organism development and human disease."
