On the day when Universidade Católica Portuguesa celebrates 58 years of mission, knowledge, and service, the institution paid tribute to two of its faculty members for their excellence in teaching and their contribution to the academic and human development of students.
Bruno Cardoso and Sofia Menéres, professors at the Católica Medical School, were distinguished with the Pedagogical Innovation Award, a recognition that highlights their commitment, creativity, and the quality of the educational practices developed within the university.
In addition to this award, the Academic Quality and Human Values embodied by the professors were also recognized, reflecting their commitment to an integral, demanding, and humanistic education — fundamental pillars of the mission of Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

This distinction reflects the university’s recognition of those who, through dedication and vision, contribute to building a fairer, more conscious, and forward-looking academic community.
