On World Diabetes Day, Professor Daniel Macedo, from the Católica Medical School, took part in a segment on RTP where he discussed a recent study published in the journal Diabetologia. The research presents an innovative technique that may accelerate wound healing in people with diabetes, one of the most frequent and difficult complications to treat.
In the report, the professor highlighted the importance of this breakthrough for improving patients’ quality of life and reducing the risk of infections and amputations, noting that any progress in this area is “highly relevant” for clinical practice.
