With its main focus on unravelling the oncogenic processes in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), our lab focuses on transcriptional regulation of gene expression by epigenetic mechanisms: the involvement of chromatin remodeling and transcription factors.

Despite the deep understanding of the role that driver mutations have in the oncopathogenesis of MPN, there are still many aspects of these diseases, such as clinical heterogeneity and differing rates of progression, which remain to be explained.

Our lab focuses on the role of epigenetic mechanisms in these neoplasms and how they can be manipulated to identify novel treatment strategies.
