December 4th 2025 - 12:30 pm @Católica Medical School Multicare auditorium

Keynote speaker: Evguenia Bekman

hosted by Raquel Oliveira

Evguenia Bekman, PhD, is a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences (iBB) of Lisbon University and an Assistant Professor at Egas Moniz School of Health and Science. Her research focuses on neuronal differentiation and the development of human cerebellar organoid models derived from patient iPSCs to study neurodevelopmental disorders. She has made important contributions to the organoid field, including published 3D and 2D cerebellar differentiation protocols, and her early work on neural progenitor transcriptional signatures remains highly cited. Her current projects investigate disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies for Angelman syndrome, supported by the European Angelman Syndrome Alliance and Angelman e.V.
