Ana Luísa Ribeiro da Silva is a Portuguese academic and molecular endocrinology and oncology researcher. She holds a doctorate in biochemistry, specializing in molecular genetics, from the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, and has extensive expertise in cellular signaling and tumor biology.

Ana Luísa Silva is an Assistant Professor at Católica Medical School, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a Guest Professor at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa. She leads the Molecular Endocrinology and Signaling Group at CIIS-UCP, where her research focuses on developing innovative approaches to improve therapies for endocrine cancers.

She has authored 31 peer-reviewed publications, collectively receiving over 1,270 citations, reflecting her significant contributions to the field. Her work has advanced understanding in areas such as signal transduction pathways in thyroid cancer, modulation of the Sodium Iodide Symporter (NIS) for enhanced radioiodine therapy, and the tumor microenvironment in pituitary neuroendocrine tumors. She is also deeply committed to education, mentoring medical, master's, and doctoral students in molecular biology, genetics, oncology, and endocrinology research. Her professional journey combines fundamental research with clinical applications, underscoring her commitment to advancing cancer diagnosis and treatment.
