Keynote speaker: Ana Mendes

Ana Mendes has been a specialist in Immunoallergology since 2006 and currently serves as a Hospital Assistant graduate in Immunoallergology at the Santa Maria Local Health Unit. She has played a pivotal role in advancing specialized care for Severe Asthma, contributing to establishing the Functional Severe Asthma Unit and the Multidisciplinary Severe Asthma Unit at ULS Santa Maria.
Ana is the South Coordinator of the Severe Asthma Specialist Network (REAG) and leads the Asthma Interest Group of the Portuguese Society of Immunoallergology (SPAIC). She is an active member of several prestigious scientific societies, including the Portuguese Society of Immunoallergology, the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, and the European Respiratory Society.
Her scientific contributions include 63 published articles and the development of clinical guidelines for Severe Asthma. She has served as a principal investigator and co-researcher in multiple clinical trials and is an active reviewer for scientific journals. Dr. Mendes frequently participates as a speaker and moderator at national and international conferences and contributes to medical education through training programs for physicians, students, and pharmacists.
