The Católica Medical School was founded in 2020 and has premises on the Sintra campus of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. With Professor António Almeida as the Dean, this unit develops multiple university activities, namely at the level of Higher Education and also at the level of Research and Development. 

In the area of teaching this unit offers the Integrated Master in Medicine (360 ECTS), with a duration of 6 academic years (12 semesters). Initially, 50 students will be admitted, however, it is planned to increase to 100 admissions per year. 

Research and Development activities, to be promoted in conjunction with the Biomedical Research Institute, are also an essential component of the mission of the Medical School.
