Paula Ravasco , doctor, nutritionist and director of the International Postgraduate Program “Nutrition and Metabolism in Oncology” at the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP), adds that this idea is false and that there is not even “any robust study that proves an association” between the consumption of spicy foods and the development of stomach cancer .
