Mobility for Studies
International students wishing to participate in a period of exchange/mobility at Catolica Medical School (CMS) should follow the steps mentioned below:
- Make sure there is a Bilateral Agreement between your Home University and CMS the field of Medicine. To confirm if there is a valid agreement, please check our List of Partner Universities.
- Nominations: The International Relations or Erasmus Office at your Home University, have to send us the selected students. Please ask your institution to send us an email.
- After you have made your decision, submit your application to CMS. The students application is performed exclusively by the online application form.

Language Requirements:
There is no specific language level required in Portuguese as all teaching is done in English. Nonetheless, some basic ability in latin languages is recommended for the clinical rotations.
Required documents:
- Learning Agreement for Studies, which needs to be signed and dated by the student and by the home institution, in which the mobility is framed by the ERASMUS+ Programme, being mandatory to use the Online Learning Agreement (OLA) (pdf format)
- Scan of ID card/Passport (pdf format)
- Home Transcript of Records (pdf format)
- Photo [formal, to be used on identification card] (jpeg format; max. 45kb)
Mobility for Traineeships ( Research Centres)
Carrying out internships, under the Erasmus+ program or under Cooperation Agreements with CMS, is possible, but you must first check this possibility with your home institution.
After confirmation, we suggest that you send an email expressing your interest in carrying out an internship mobility period, possibly including your CV + motivation letter (medicina.fm@ucp.pt)
