Public Habilitation Exams in Vascular Biology: Congratulations, Professor Cláudio Franco!

It is with great pride that Católica Medical School announces that on December 16, 2025, Professor Cláudio Areias Franco, CBR researcher and faculty member at the Católica Medical School, successfully completed the Public Habilitation Exams in the field of Vascular Biology. Professor Cláudio Franco was approved unanimously by all members of the examination committee.

Cláudio Franco graduated in Biochemistry from the University of Porto and holds a PhD in Protein Structure, Function and Engineering from Université Paris Diderot. He was Director of the Vascular Morphogenesis Unit at the João Lobo Antunes Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM) and is currently leader or Principal Investigator of the Vascular Biology and Disease Group at the CBR, as well as a member of the CBR Board of Directors.
