Learning Objectives
- By the end of this curricular unit, students should be able to produce a doctoral thesis presenting original scientific research. To achieve this, all students are expected to:
- Implement the research plan approved during the first year of the doctoral programme, in collaboration with and under the guidance of their supervisory team.
- Collect all the information necessary to present and discuss research findings.
- Conduct literature searches and critically analyse the theoretical framework, the research methodologies most appropriate to their work, and the data collected.
- Adjust and adapt their research whenever necessary.
- Communicate effectively within the scientific community.
- The main objective is for students to successfully and independently plan and carry out their research project, developing the ability to produce and communicate scientific knowledge (e.g., doctoral student meetings, scientific articles, doctoral thesis, and public thesis defence).
Course Content
- The course content will be tailored to each student according to their thesis topic. The supervisory team will be primarily responsible for supporting students in their research activities and literature review.
Assessment
Assessment in this curricular unit will take place through the public defence of the doctoral thesis.
