On the occasion of World Lung Day, Amélia Feliciano, Pulmonologist and Professor at Católica Medical School, spoke to Lifestyle ao Minuto about respiratory health and the main challenges that continue to affect the Portuguese population.
In the interview, she addresses several topics, including lung cancer, COPD, respiratory infections, smoking and e-cigarettes, as well as tuberculosis, highlighting that, despite the progress made in recent years, the disease has not yet been eliminated in Portugal.
She also reinforces the importance of prevention, early diagnosis, vaccination and healthy lifestyle habits in protecting lung health throughout life.
