Católica Medical School launches Postgraduate Program in Sleep Medicine to train more specialists in the field

About 80% of adults have at least one sleep-related complaint or even an undiagnosed sleep disorder, such as insomnia or sleep apnea, with a serious impact on health and quality of life.

The Católica Medical School (FM-UCP) presents the 3rd edition of its Postgraduate Program in Sleep Medicine to meet the growing demand for professionals in the field of Sleep Medicine. This program stands out in Portugal for its multidisciplinary approach to sleep and will begin on October 17th, in a b-learning format, taught by national and international experts.

"The growing global interest in Sleep Medicine stems from the increasing prevalence of sleep disorders, a phenomenon exacerbated by the aging population, the obesity pandemic, and COVID-19. Currently, numerous sleep centers and units across Europe face a shortage of appropriately qualified professionals prepared to meet the real needs in this area," says Amélia Feliciano, coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Sleep Medicine.
