This public conference is organized by the Bioethics Institute of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, with the support of Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. It marks the conclusion of the NERQ Training Programme and is open to all those interested in academic and scientific integrity.

Join us for a stimulating final conference where leading voices in research ethics and policy will explore how institutions and researchers can navigate the evolving landscape of research integrity.

Key questions:

  • How can we move beyond compliance to build a true culture of integrity grounded in shared values and ethical reflection?
  • What structural changes are needed to make responsible research practices achievable in a system driven by publication metrics and funding pressures?
  • How should researchers engage with the societal impact of their work — and how can integrity frameworks adapt to the challenges of AI, open science, and global collaboration?

This will be more than a conversation, it will be a call to action for institutions, funders, and researchers to rethink how we define and support integrity in research.

Participation for the final conference is free, but registration is mandatory.
